Welcome

Bed and breakfast in Ogmore-by-Sea Rockleigh is an attractive, comfortable bungalow where you can be assured of a warm welcome. The facilities include a double room with sea views, and a single room - both with en-suite facilities. Rooms are let independently but it is ideal for three sharing. Televisions and tea-making facilities are available in both rooms. Creating a homely, & personal experience not just an average Bed & Breakfast Organic food and local produce is used wherever possible.

Situation

Bed and breakfast in Ogmore-by-Sea We are situated on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. The sea is at the end of the road, 200 metres away. Footpaths lead on to common land where the coastal path will take you along the rugged coastline to Nash Point, St. Donat’s and Llantwit Major.

Nash Point

Coastline at Ogmore-by-Sea To Nash Point with its Celtic fort and two light houses, which are now automated, and the keepers' cottages which have been turned into holiday cottages.


St Donat's Castle

Once owned by the Newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, now home to Atlantic College and St. Donats Art’s Centre which is the largest venue on the coast and offers exhibitions, cinema, dance, theatre, and more.

Llantwit Major

Coastline at Ogmore-by-Sea Llantwit Major is a village dating from the Iron Age. It is steeped in Welsh history and it was here that St. Illtud founded a church a monastry school and missionary centre at the end of the 5th century.

Low tide will allow one to walk with care, along the beach, where at Markross one can walk inland to the Plough and Harrow for a hearty lunch and real ale..

Inland there are country lanes and pretty villages, most with their own Inns. There is a huge network of footpaths. The area is ideal for walkers and cyclists.

Coastline at Ogmore-by-Sea Cowbridge is an old market town with many pubs and a variety of shops. It has many good restaurants.

Cardiff has a wide variety of shops with a good market and arcades, and is home to the Millenium stadium and newly-developed Cardiff Bay.

Welcome to Ogmore-by-Sea

'Rockleigh' is a 3-Star, Welsh Tourist Board Bed-and-Breakfast set in the dramatic and beautiful coastline of the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales.

Christina, an artist, also runs textiles courses and TEFL courses at the B&B.
